Data Acquisition Analyst

Our client, a global finance organisation and a leading data provider, is seeking a commercially astute, highly motivated and articulate Data Acquisition Analyst to join a friendly and dynamic team based in their central London office. The role is initially a 6-month contract that may be extended, and for the right person, could lead to permanent opportunities within the business. The successful candidate will be a quick thinker with a high level of initiative, a passion for data and technology and the ability to communicate with finance professionals based across the EMEA region. Italian language skills are not essential but would be very highly regarded. Any additional European languages alongside English and Italian would be a major benefit.

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/ Business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to juggle different priorities across work groups and act as an intermediary contact between teams
  • A keen interest in technology and good I.T skills including advanced knowledge of Excel for data manipulation (programming languages and/or knowledge of statistical packages would be a bonus, e.g SQL, Python, VBA)
  • Able to work in a close knit team and form positive working relationships
  • Can work under own motivation without supervision. Confident and quick learner, self-driven and able to pick up training quickly
  • Eye for detail and able to perform data quality checks. Perfectionist who spots errors easily and can suggest ways to improve processes
  • Genuinely motivated to progress, goes the extra mile with an eye to future development opportunities
  • Ideally, speaks fluent Italian (not essential)


  • Providing customers with comprehensive information across multiple markets
  • Inputting pricing content into the bespoke system
  • Constant liaison with existing pricing and research contributors
  • Providing technical support to customers
  • Data maintenance and quality checking
  • Working as part of a dynamic and fast paced team
  • Ad-hoc project related tasks as required
