Job Description

Our client, a major global organisation, has an excellent opportunity available for enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking Desktop Support Engineer with solid experience within the Financial Services industry to work in a team environment. This will be a temporary 6 month contract basis (extendable) based in London.

It is essential that applicants have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Desktop Support Roles, with recent experience of providing End User Desktop Support within a similar /Executive/Business/Trade Floor support role within Financial Services. Strong communication and excellent customer service skills essential. Applicants must be committed, reliable and flexible.

Support to be provided:

  • Providing end user support to Trade Floor employees including Traders and Senior members of staff
  • Building, configuring and upgrading workstations, laptops and mobile devices
  • Troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrades of desktop managed servers
  • Documenting support processes

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Previous technical support experience, ideally 3+ years supporting desktops, mobile devices and networks in a corporate or consulting environment preferably within Financial Services/Tradefloor
  • Strong experience supporting Windows 7 and higher
  • Previous experience supporting Microsoft Office and Excel Add-In
  • Windows Server and Active Directory support experience
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service

Bonus Skills Experience:

  • Previous Mac OS or Linux support experience
  • Previous Scripting or low level programming experience
