Job Description

Our client, a leader and global organisation within the financial services and tech industry is seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Administrator/Representative to join their EMEA Logistics Department based in their modern office in Central London for a 12 month temporary contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience in EMEA logistics, supply chain vendor relationship and inventory management ideally within a professional services environment. You will be willing to inspire change, take initiative in improving processes through operational understanding and data insights while ensuring efficient and effective service to global partners and internal colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and improve shipment execution performance
  • Issue resolution on shipping and/or billing discrepancies
  • Manage and coordinate Ticketing performance SLA's
  • Track and trace shipments and delivery-issue resolution
  • Develop Routing and booking of inbound/outbound inventory shipments with local, regional and global carriers, including timely preparation of required shipping documentation
  • Help Maintain relationship(s) with 4PL/3PL and local last-mile delivery partners in the provision of excellent service to EMEA region
  • Develop and oversee performance of suppliers and carriers Service levels and costs
  • Using such relationship(s) to expand services to additional locations
  • Accommodate ad-hoc shipping and inventory management task as needed
  • Manage invoicing/licenses requirements based on country
  • Manage supply chain activities ensuring that all regulations are adhered to and that customers receive timely and efficient service

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification/experience (Logistics degree specialization in Transportation/Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management a plus)
  • Previous experience in transportation/logistics with freight forwarder, carrier or shipper within European region
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other major ERP system
  • Experience in Supply Chain Vendor Management
  • Solid knowledge of Incoterms, and customs and international trade regulations
  • Working experience in data analytics/analysis using Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Powerpoint applications, MS Access)
  • Previous experience in Transportation Management Software (TMS) and any similar systems
  • Ability to manage large amount of data for operational and directional decisions
  • Previous experience/knowledge of using Dashboards and exporting relevant insights to drive operational efficiency
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Written and verbal German/French language skills is a plus
  • APICS, CSCMP, SIxSigma, Lean or other relevant certification is a plus
