Job Description

Our client, a leader and global organisation within the financial services and tech industry is seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Representative to join their EMEA Logistics Department based in their modern office in Central London for a 12 month temporary contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience in EMEA logistics, supply chain vendor management and inventory management ideally within a professional services environment. You will be willing to inspire change, take initiative in improving processes through operational understanding and data insights while ensuring efficient and effective service to global partners and internal colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining relationships with 4PL/3PL and local last-mile delivery partners to ensure an excellent service provision within EMEA region
  • Using such relationships to expand services to additional locations
  • Coordinating forward logistics, developing relationship and managing/overseeing performance of suppliers and carriers Service levels and costs
  • Overseeing physical moving of the inventory to local offices, 3PL sites and Forward Stocking locations
  • Preparation and quality review of shipping documentation
  • Monitoring and improving shipment execution performance
  • Managing invoicing and licenses requirements based on country
  • Managing supply chain activities while ensuring that all regulations are adhered and customers receive timely and efficient service
  • Developing routing and booking of inbound/outbound inventory shipments with local, regional and global carriers, including timely preparation of required shipping documentation
  • Issuing resolution on shipping and/or billing discrepancies
  • Tracking and tracing shipments and delivery-issue resolution
  • Accommodating ad-hoc shipping and inventory management task when needed

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification/experience (Logistics degree specialization in Transportation/Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management a plus)
  • Previous experience in transportation/logistics with freight forwarder, carrier or shipper within European region
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other major ERP system
  • Experience in Supply Chain Vendor Management
  • Solid knowledge of Incoterms, and customs and international trade regulations
  • Working experience in data analytics/analysis using Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, MS Access)
  • Previous experience in Transportation Management Software (TMS) and any similar systems
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Written and verbal German/French language skills is a plus
  • APICS, CSCMP, SIxSigma, Lean or other relevant certification is a plus
