Experienced Windows 10 Migration Project Manager (EMEA)

Our client, a global provider of IT services, requires an experienced Windows 10 Migration Project Manager with EMEA experience for a temporary 6 month contract based in London. There is no travel required for this role.

Our client requires a Level 3PM to manages and oversee all aspects of the project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. You would have overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to take part in a digital IT workplace update that will be running across EMEA and APAC regions. The project encompasses an upgrade from Windows 7 and Office 2010 to Windows 10 and Office 2016 and will also introduce a virtual desktop environment enabling resiliency, security and flexibility for our client's global workforce.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality in project management, alignment, dependency management and delivery across the EMEA IT workplace upgrade project and will be reporting directly to the Global Project Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Operating Model

When migrating to AVC the support model required will change.

    • Evaluate and plan new global workplace support model
    • Execute and implement new support model globally and locally
  • Service Acceptance

The project will deliver the services into production via the Service Acceptance process

    • Evaluate and plan Service Acceptance sign off by BAU
    • Execute and implement Service Readiness globally and locally for sign off (e.g. Service-now, ITSM)
  • ITSM

Incident, Change, Problem and Request processes required.

    • Evaluate and plan IT Service Management Readiness in Service Now and GIAM
    • Execute and implement Service Readiness globally and locally for sign off (e.g. Service-now, ITSM)
  • Make proposal for tasks / deliverables
  • Planning/Build
  • Track of EMEA external vendor and internal service provider costs within agreed budget
  • Run regular meetings with project team to understand new / changed demand and put to minutes
  • Support PSG and DDA Slides for Management Decision and Status
  • Provide scope and timelines for projects/demands
  • Usage of our client's standards and procedures
  • Ensure alignment with project stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
  • Ensure alignment with our clients EMEA IT and Business stakeholders
  • Report to IT senior management
  • Understand requirements towards the intended operating model
  • Collect and document non functional requirements
  • Work together with the line organization to organize infrastructure and environment delivery
    Update Risk and Issue log
  • Migration
    • Plan, support and coordinate rollout of new digital workplace
    • Direct vendors with project instructions
    • Handle IT infrastructure and operations related escalations
    • Service Implementation
    • Work together with line organization to define and implement the FMO IT operating model
    • Support handover of Digital IT Workplace from project to line operations - e.g. Service Readiness Test and training

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years Experience in IT and Infrastructure projects
  • Previously delivered international projects
  • Previously worked with third parties to jointly delivered results
  • Certified Project Management (Prince2, PMP, similar)
  • Experience working in global corporate/finance environment
  • Preferred Certified IT Service Management (ITIL or similar)
    • Method experience regarding
  • Project Management including Agile and waterfall methods
  • Requirements Management
  • Issue and Risk Identification & Management
  • Build migration schedules
  • Presentation to senior leadership
  • Ability to moderate between several team towards one goal
