Job Description

Our client, a global provider of IT services requires a MAC Architect for a 12 month temporary contract based in Weybridge. The role involves engineering and design of MAC PCs in Enterprise environment. We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience who can start ASAP.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Understand the landscape of end user computing in enterprise environment and gather the requirements for MAC PCs

o Design and hardening the MAC OS image to meet the security requirements

o Design the patch cycle and deployment process along with the required tools installation for centralized deployment

o Design the production roll out strategy, operational support, and management of the technology and end user computing platform

o Analyse, tune, and troubleshoot operating system and deployment configuration to achieve optimum performance levels.

o Design the software applications installation processes and required tools for mass deployment

o Compare, evaluate, and implement new technologies, and integrate systems with the tools like monitoring, ticketing, asset DB, etc

o Design, develop, test user system policies

o Design management of software licenses, software maintenance, annual budgeting, and reporting for all Mac OS software

o Provide training and guidance to L1 and L2 tiers of support in the form of Technical Knowledge Base articles and direct training.

o Create end user training in form of written guides and FAQs

o Design the process to maintain the computer inventory for roll over, upgrades, spares, loaners, reclaims, etc.

o Maintain documentation of procedures and policies, includes testing, building, and documenting the necessary steps for deploying hardware and software, resolving escalated issues and utilizing support tools.

o Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the technical aspects of the JAMF Pro for best practices related to installation process and issue resolution

o Operation Support

o Provide root cause analysis for recurring issues on the Macintosh platform.

o Perform OS and application level patch management

o Participate in direct user support as requested and/or needed at the L3 tier. Some L2 tasks may be assigned during heavy call periods.

o Troubleshooting common off the shelf software, Chrome, Firefox, MS Office 20xx as included on the MAC image, network connectivity
