Our client, a leading global organisation within the financial services sphere, is seeking an experienced, dynamic Marketing Manager to drive their brand forward within a 12 month fixed term contract role that could be extended or become permanent for the right person.

Located in central London, the Marketing team provides a crucial brand management function to the business, and the Marketing Manager will be a key player within the department, driving the marketing strategy forward and leading campaigns and processes with a view to promoting the brand across the financial services sphere, with a particular focus on promoting sales and services to hedge funds and niche / boutique firms.

Along with a dynamic, motivated outlook and innovative attitude to improvements; seeking opportunities to challenge the status quo and introduce meaningful changes to existing processes, the ideal candidate will possess sound technical skills including solid experience in email campaigns, event promotion, marketing collateral and building relationships with partners globally. This is a senior role which does not include managing team members, but candidates must be willing to mentor and act as a role model for the wider team, and seek opportunities to encourage team members to grow and develop. Management duties could arise as part of the role in the future.

Duties and person spec

  • Developing and creating innovative marketing and branding strategies that will make a difference
  • Responsibility for managing marketing budgets
  • Delivering brand stategy in a cost effective manner, improving wider processes and seeking opportunities to reduce costsl and manage budgets more effectively where possible
  • Developing relationships with the wider business and branding partners
  • Leadership mentality; acting as a role model and mentor to other staff within the Marketing team
  • Takes responsibility for marketing campaigns, marketing collateral, events and promotional materials
  • Successful track record in B to B financial services marketing - desirable good understanding of equity and commodities markets
  • Experience in developing marketing plans and coordinating execution with other marketing teams
  • Experience in managing digital campaigns and tracking metrics
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience creating marketing collateral, both traditional and digital
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and an ability to adapt and learn a new market
  • Ability to drive lead generation and campaign management
  • Ability to multi-task in a time pressure environment
  • Ability to successfully partner with Sales, Product Managers, and the internal creative agency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound technical skills. Understanding of all aspects of marketing function and technical ability in delivering core marketing materials
  • Experience working in a senior capacity and comfortable with this level of responsibility
  • Dynamic, motivated and engaging personality. Comfortable working in a flat structure and able to engage with colleagues globally, working across cultures
  • Flexible attitude, willing to apply extra effort when needed to achieve project aims
  • Dedicated to personal development and growth

  • A second language is not essential but would be highly regarded
